I’m starting my third year at university and I’ve decided to move out of the dorms and into a flat with two of my friends. We’ve finished buying all the furniture and everything, and we’ve gotten everything set up where it should go. Our flat has a living room, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and three bedrooms.

In the living room, we have two sofas. One is brown and the other is blue. I wanted to buy two brown sofas, but Deniz said that’s too boring. We have a TV and stereo in there, but we’re so busy, we don’t have much time to watch anything. Usually we just watch football games. There’s a clock on the wall and my mom bought us a couple of potted plants. We also have a table and some chairs.

We don’t have much in the kitchen because we don’t cook a lot. Metin’s mom helped us buy what we do have, even though we told her that we probably won’t use it. We bought a second hand refrigerator because we couldn’t afford to get one from a big shop. Metin’s mom bought us an oven but we rarely use it. None of us are good bakers. Deniz’s friends gave us their old microwave and we use it to reheat leftovers. We have a lot of kitchen gadgets that we don’t know how to use.

Our bedrooms are pretty similar. We all have a bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a chair, and a bedside table. Mostly we eat together in the living room and study in our bedrooms.
